Total open interest position at the futures counter during the week increased by Rs 509 million, up 24 percent on week-on-week basis to Rs 2.6 billion. The futures spread, on the other hand, also surged by 70 bps on week-on-week basis to 9.59 percent. The average daily trading volumes at the futures counter increased by 3.1 percent on week-on-week basis to 20.7 million shares.
The top-five scrips at the futures counter holding 67 percent of the total open interest were ENGRO, DGKC, NBP, LUCK and AHCL.
