Rain/dust-thunderstorm predicted in upper parts

Met Office has predicted rain/dust-thunderstorm in upper parts of the country from Monday night to Wednesday. In a special weather advisory, Met Office said a fresh westerly wave is likely to grip upper parts of the country on Monday evening/night. Under the influence of this weather system rain/dust-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places of KP, Upper Punjab and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan on Tuesday/ Wednesday. It said weather in Northern areas/Siachen is likely to remain dry on Sunday/ Monday. However, snowfall is predicted over the high mountain of Gilgit-Baltistan including Siachen on Tuesday/Wednesday.
It said yesterday's trough of westerly wave over Iran and adjoining Afghanistan now lies over north-east Afghanistan and adjoining Pakistan. In its daily weather forecast for Monday, Met office said scattered dust Thunderstorm/rain is expected over Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, North Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir while dust raising winds may likely to occur over South Punjab, interior Sindh and plain areas of Balochistan.
