Nawaz asks Habib to tender apology

Pakistan Muslim League-N President Muhammad Nawaz Sharif here on Monday sent a legal notice to the then chief of defunct Mehran Bank, Younis Habib, asking him to tender an apology for what he said defaming him by levelling false allegations against him. Sharif claimed that by involving him in Mehran Bank scam Younis tried to defame him and damaged his political and social image in the eyes of the people of Pakistan.
In his legal notice, the PML-N chief said that on Habib's failure to tender a unconditional apology within 14 days of the notice he would approach the court of law against him with a suit of damages of rupees 10 billion.
