Chief Justice of Lahore High Court Sheikh Azmat Saeed has said that promotion and posting of judicial officers would be linked to their skills and expertise. He was speaking at a meeting with the delegation of Shariah course participants on Tuesday.
Justice Saeed said a series of in-service training courses had been launched and in future, promotions and posting of judges would be subject to condition of attending such courses. The CJ said that in armed forces, an Admiral had to undergo 18 to 20 training courses while in civil services a secretary hardly attends 2 or 3 courses whereas in judiciary ratio of such courses was zero.
