Five state-run schools rehabilitated in Bajaur Agency

To improve the educational standard in conflict-hit areas, the political administration has rehabilitated five state-run schools in various areas of Bajaur Agency by constructing classrooms, boundary walls, main gates and providing basic furniture and other equipment.
These schools were damaged by terrorists during the wave of militancy in the Agency, said the spokesman of FATA Secretariat on Tuesday. He added that on special directives of PA Bajaur Islam Zeb Khan, these schools were rehabilitated and fully equipped to ensure a better learning environment in the Agency.
The authorities rehabilitated Government Girls Middle School (GGMS) and Government Primary School (GPS) in civil colony Nawagai area. Classrooms, veranda and boundary walls were constructed while tables, chairs, cupboards, water tanks and ceiling fans were also provided to both the schools. Similarly, Government Primary school (GPS) no.1 and Government primary school (GPS) no.2 in Damadola area of Mamund were rehabilitated and equipped by providing 130 students desks, chairs and tables, cupboards, 20 ceiling fans and other necessary furniture. Boundary walls and toilets were also constructed in both schools.
The political authorities have also rehabilitated and equipped Government Primary school (GPS) in Dabar village of Mamund Tehsil. The school was renovated, white washed and fully electrified. It has also been provided with 200 student's desks benches, chairs, ceiling fans, cupboards, water tanks and other necessary equipments. Three class rooms along with verandas, boundary wall, and main gate has also been constructed in the school. Some 80 ceiling fans, 437 desks with benches and eight cupboards were provided to these five government schools to facilitate the students and their teachers.
