A gas cylinder accidentally went off in the city area of Canal Road, killing two minor children and critically injuring two other people of the same family. According to police, a powerful explosion occurred in a house located in Canal Road in the suburbs of the city owing to the gas leakage.
The injured and the bodies were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital. The residents of the locality said the children died for no prompt relief action was taken on time and no rescue volunteer could make to the mishap site. People rushed the bodies and the injured to the hospital on self-help basis and extinguished the fire.
