The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) was implementing a concerted strategy to combat the threat of dengue by mobilising more than 12 lakh students, teachers and school owners of its 4,700 partner schools in the province.
Chairman Punjab Education Foundation Raja Anwar stated this while addressing the participants of a training workshop which held for the sensitisation of partner schools of Education Voucher Scheme (EVS) and Foundation Assisted Schools (FAS) at PEF head office on Wednesday.
PEF-MD, DMD (HR) and other program heads also attended the workshop. Raja Anwar said that PEF was ready to fight any possible attack of dengue as its students were trained to be socially responsible and were also proactively working to help clean their immediate environment.
PEF partner school students have been given necessary literature and other informative material to educate the students and teachers. Earlier, dengue experts gave lectures and shown presentations about the menace of dengue virus and educated the participants about various remedial measures to curb this menace.
