Pakistani surgeons successfully removed AVM from girl's face

On the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, a team of surgeons headed by Professor Tariq Salahuddin has successfully removed 'Arteriovenous Malformation' (AVM) from the face of a girl Fakhira after a 7-hour long complicated operation.
Fakhira (25), an orphan belonging to Satiana Road, Faisalabad was suffering from this painful disease for the last eight years. The patient has been shifted to ICC where she is in recovery process. Punjab chief minister had directed this surgery last month at a government hospital free of cost after it came into his knowledge.
Professor Tariq said that Fakhira was facing severe agony and pain for the last two years due to this problem. He added that it was a complicated surgery, which was conducted by senior surgeons after a number of medical tests of the patient. Kaneez Bibi, the mother of Fakhira said that she is thankful to Chief Minister Punjab, hospital administration and doctors, as she could not spend even a single penny on this operation. She also prayed for long life and health of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
