Special prayers held for snow-hit soldiers, civilians

The leaders and workers of district chapter of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek arranged special prayers here at their divisional office on Friday for the safe recovery of 132 soldiers and civilians who have been trapped under an avalanche in Siachen.
The special prayers with "Ayae-Kareema" were arranged on the directives of Chief of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek Muhammad Sarwat Aijaz Qadri, said District Convener Muhammad Akbar Raza Qadri. He said that 180 million people of the country are in grip of shock and grief over the tragic incident in Siachen that trapped the soldiers and civilians under an avalance.
The Pakistan Army always rendered sacrifices of live for the integrity, solidarity and defence of the country. The disciplined armed forces of the country ranked top among the world and who were playing a vital role as peace keeping force of the United Nations, he said and added that the people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with their soldiers.
