Proposed loadshedding eradication: Shujaat challenges critics of his formula

15 Apr, 2012

Pakistan Muslim League-Q President, Chaudhry, Shujaat Hussain has thrown a challenge to the critics of his load shedding eradication formula, saying, "if it is implemented sincerely and seriously, electricity load shedding will be eliminated from the country totally or its duration reduced to just two hours."
He said this while addressing a function titled "Aitraaf-e-Khidmat Aabro-e-Sahafat Majid Nizami" organised by the Pakistan Movement Workers Majlis at the Alhamra Art Centre here on Saturday. Shujaat said that in the prevailing circumstances biggest problem of Pakistan is electricity load shedding because price hike and unemployment have made the life of the people miserable. He said his formula was presented by PML Secretary General, Mushahid Hussain Sayed at the National Energy Conference recently held in Lahore but this was not given due consideration for implementation and instead brushed aside dubbing it as Shujaat Formula.
He said, "you may give it any other title but for God's sake implement it." The PML-Q leader paid rich tributes to veteran journalist Majid Nizami on completion of 50 years of meritorious services as Editor of a national Urdu daily. Responding to a question raised by Mujibur Rahman Shami regarding efforts made by Majid Nizami for unification of all factions of Muslim League, Shujaat said that we had also lauded his efforts and endorsed them. "We had even asked Majid Nizami that neither me nor Nawaz Sharif but he (Majid Nizami) should become the President of the united and unified Muslim League", he added.
