At least two persons lost their lives on the Lyari Expressway when a passenger bus fell into Lyari River in the limits of Gulshan-e-Maymar police station on Saturday. Three other persons were injured in the incident. According to police, the accident occurred after the fast-moving vehicle's driver lost steering control.
Police officials said that five of the persons injured in the accident and had been released from hospital after first aid treatment. Two of the injured men, Anwar Hussain, 42, and Musa,35, died while being treated at the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Anwar, police said, used to live in Khuda ki Basti, while Musa lived in Mir Khan Goth falling in Surjani Town. Both of them were said to be labourers.
