Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Chief Dr Farooq Sattar and members of Rabita Committee still have a 'difference of opinion' and have yet to bury the hatchet even after 24 hours.
Sattar seems adamant in his decision to issue Senate ticket to Kamran Tessori while the Rabita Committee is against his decision. Sattar has again called a workers convention at his residence today, local media reported.
On Tuesday, a three-member delegation was sent to discuss matters with Sattar. However, the delegation failed to resolve issues with Sattar. While talking to the media on Tuesday after his discussion with the Rabita Committee, Sattar announced that there were no rifts between the members. He said that there was only differences on the opinion and that too regarding nomination of candidates for the March 3 Senate elections.

The chief further said that all Rabita Committee members were his brothers and he saw no difference between Bahadurabad and PIB. However, there were no Rabita Committee members with Sattar while he addressed the media.
The disagreement began after Sattar and MQM-P leader Amir Khan had an argument on Monday regarding Tessori whom Sattar had wanted to name in top four by sacrificing two of the top four candidates for the Senate general seats. After the session, without their chief present at the meeting, MQM-P’s top decision-making forum removed Tessori from the coordination committee and suspended him for six months.
