Non-cooperation: court admonishes police

Police treated people like animals, making their lives miserable in police stations, the Lahore High Court observed on Friday. The court was hearing a case against non-registration of FIR by an inspector of the Liaquatabad police station. The petitioner, a woman named Mussarat, contended that she moved an application for registering a fraud case, but police officials ignored her complaint.
The court admonished the inspector and said that Police routinely caused problems for citizens, the court observed, adding that the IGP and DIGs also behaved in a similar manner.
