A petition challenging the appointment of new federal ministers has been filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) for being their alleged involvement in corruption cases. A Bar member said the Supreme Court had directed the federal government to initiate criminal proceedings against certain federal ministers for their alleged involvement in corruption.
The government instead of taking action against them had 'rewarded' them with portfolios of ministers. He therefore prayed to the court to set aside appointments of news ministers.
