Nato routes: Difa-e-Pakistan Council holds five rallies

Difa-e-Pakistan Council on Friday took out five rallies in Multan to condemn the resumption of Nato supplies and fixation of bounty for Hafiz Muhammad Saeed by US. A rally was taken out from Masoom Shah Road led by Hafiz Abdul Ghaffar of Jamaat-ud-Dawah. Ghaffar said that more than 2000 people joined rallies in Multan on Friday.
A police officer Najmul-Hassan said that more than 1000 activists and students of religious seminaries joined the rallies." Another rally was taken out at Rasheedabad Chowk and was led by Sanaullah Saqib. The protesters burnt US flags to express their anger and chanted slogans against the US, Nato forces and rulers of Pakistan. Later a public meeting was organised at Chowk Ghanta Ghar. Ghaffar said that protests would continue till PPP led government did not step down. Jamaat-e-Islami also staged a protest demonstration at Chowk Ghanta which was led by Rao Zafar Iqbal, Professor Iftikhar Chaudhry and Arif Mehmood.
