23 Apr, 2012

Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Sunday that Bhoja Air was issued license to operate flights during Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's (PML-N) regime. Malik further said that Farooq Bhoja, the supposed owner of Bhoja Air, held only five percent shares of the airline while rest of the stakes were owned by others.
The minister stated that the names of suspects in the case had been put on Exit Control List (ECL). He said the airline was permitted to operate in Pakistan in 1992.
Speaking about the probe into the causes of the tragic air crash, he said that the plane's 'Black Box' has been found. But it could not be decoded in Pakistan. It would be sent abroad for decoding, he added. He also said that the sound recorder of the crashed plane had also been found.
