Two killed in Lahore bomb blast

Two persons were killed and 27 others injured in a bomb blast at Lahore Railway station on Tuesday. The blast outside the Business Train Counter at platform No 2 ripped through the busy Lahore railway station. Immediately after the explosion, police cordoned off the blast site, where teams of emergency services started rescue work.
Initial investigations suggest that high intensity explosives were used in the blast. Acting CCPO Lahore, Aslam Tareen told media that 6 to 8 kgs of explosives was planted in a bag. The rescue teams shifted the injured to Mayo and Ganga Ram hospitals. An emergency has been declared in the city hospitals.
