US to help enhance Pak-Afghan bilateral trade ties

US Consul General in Peshawar, Dr Marie Richards has said that United States would extend every possible support to enhance bilateral trade relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan and attainment of all objectives of the Pakistan Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PAJCCI).
This, she stated while talking to a delegation led by Vice President PAJCCI, Usman Bashir Bilour here on Wednesday. Other members of the delegation were Ghulam Sarwar Mohmand and Ziaul Haq Sarhdi. Dr Marie Richards said that a bilateral exchange visit would also be arranged to United States in order to develop proper mechanism for promotion of trade ties between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The delegation also explained that the basic aim of PAJCCI to enhance bilateral trade, revival of banking channels, and double export volume during three years, work out for extending common facilities to business community through Afghan Transit Trade to both neighbouring states. The PAJCCI had established with evolving a comprehensive strategy to promote business and trade activities and restore confidence of business community of the both side of the border.
