The Sindh Education Department will recruit 19,000 teachers in the province. This was stated by the Provincial Minister for Education and Literacy, Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq. In a statement here on Wednesday, he informed that the move is aimed at overcoming the shortage of the teachers in the province in collaboration with the World Bank. The Minister also assured that the process of recruitment would be purely on the basis of merit.
He said that keeping in view the problems of the unemployed youngsters, the fee of the application form has been reduced from Rs 300 to Rs 30 which is the bank charges. Pir Mazhar is of the view that the hiring process would be on union council level and that the application forms would not be received in those union councils where there is no shortage of teachers. He pointed out that the Sindh Education Department is endeavouring for the promotion of education.
