Billions being spent on healthcare: Punjab minister

Punjab Labour Minister, Haji Ehsaan-ud-Din Qureshi has said that Rs 42.30 billion for the provision of healthcare facilities to the people in the province are being utilised. He expressed these views during his visit to Government Nawaz Sharif Hospital, Yakki Gate, Lahore, here on Wednesday.
He said that Rs 8 billion are spending to achieve the millennium development goals. He said that Labour Department will spend Rs 4.1 billion for the provision of state of the art healthcare facilities to the labourers and their families whereas, government has reserved. The Minister ensured the hospital administration that vacant posts of doctors will be filled up soon and other problems would also be solved.
