Major General Bajwa new director general ISPR

Pakistan Army on Friday issued transfer and posting orders of several majors-general. Major-General Asim Saleem Bajwa will replace Major-General Athar Abbas as the new Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). Major-General Athar Abbas is scheduled to retire in June. Major-General Asim Saleem Bajwa was commissioned on March 16, 1984 in Punjab Regiment.
Currently, he is commanding an infantry division at Dera Ismail Khan and will assume charge as DG ISPR in June. Other major generals who have been transferred include: IG FC Major-General Nadir Zeb has been transferred and posted as DG HRD, Chief of Staff SC Major-General Hadayat has been appointed as GOC 14 Division. The Armoured Division One's Major-General Sadiq Ali has been transferred and posted as the Commandant of Pakistan Military Academy.
Major-General Asif Khattak, who was deputed in ISI Quetta, has been transferred and posted in the Lag Area of Gujranwala. General Officer Commandant Special Services Group Major-General Farukh Bashir has been given new assignment as DG DSG. Commandant of the Pakistan Military Academy Major-General Mazhar Jameel has been appointed as the Vice-Chief of General Staff. Major-General Ghayoor in the GHQ has been transferred and posted as IG, FC. Major-General Umer Durrani, currently working as COS, 30 Corps, has been transferred and posted as GOC of the Armored Division One.
