Senior ANP leader joins PTI: PTI will ensure rule of law, independence of judiciary

With the growing frustration and disappointment over the poor performance of the ruling PPP-led coalition government, a senior leader of Awami National Party (ANP) from Khyber Agency, Nawabzada Fazal Karim Afridi has lashed out at the present coalition government for deteriorating economic and security situation, saying that he is going to quit ANP to join hand with PTI for ending the hereditary politics and pullout the country from the prevailing unstable situation.
He made formal announcement during a ceremony held here in Jhagra on Monday, wherein PTI President Peshawar region, Iftikhar Jhagra, party activists and workers in a large number were present. Nawabazada Fazal Afridi, who is also Honorary Consul General in Peshawar, the Embassy of Japan, said that the political parties had spent much time in their vested interest instead of deliver the poor masses during last four and half years.
He criticised that the hereditary politics and corrupt rulers had equally responsible for current economic, political instability, insecurity and the growing influence of western external forces in affairs of the state. The situation has put the country on different international financial liabilities, which is leading toward economically bankruptcy and interdependent economic position, he maintained.
Afridi said that about 60 percent people are living beyond the poverty line due to the growing price hike, and other crises in the country, but the government didn't take any proactive steps for the issues of unemployment, power, gas crisis, and contain the increasing inflation.
After present poor performance of incumbent government, he said he had decided to quit his party and join hand with the emerging youth party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to change destine of poverty stricken people and promote transparent and corrupt free society in the country. "We need an honest political leadership to steer the country out from the prevailing messy situation", he stressed.
He maintained that the PTI, under the leadership of Imran Khan, is only a political force to give new hope to the poor people and get rid the country from the corrupt rulers. He added that PTI will bring back looted money in the country, when come to power in next general elections.
He said that PTI will ensure rule of law, independence of judiciary, and make sure to work all other institutions in their respect domain, and will quit the so-called friendly opposition government in the country. On the occasion, the PTI President Peshawar region, Iftikhar Jhagra welcomed Nawabzada Fazal Karim Afridi for joining the PTI and said that the party will be further strengthen to Federally Administrative Tribal Areas after joining political figures from the tribal region. He claimed that the PTI will take practical steps to pull the country out from the present pathetic situation.
