Three persons including a girl were killed in separate road mishaps in different areas of the metropolis here on Monday. According to police and rescue sources, Veenu Kumar, 45, son of Kamal Das was crushed to death by train when he was crossing Chenesar Halt railway track in the limits of Drigh Road Railway police station.
The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico legal formalities and later handed over to the heirs. Police said the victim was the resident of Jacobabad Sindh. A 15-year-old Ayesha daughter of Abdul Khaliq also faced the same fate when she was crossing the railway track near Steel Town area. The body was shifted to JPMC for legal formalities. Police said the victim was the resident of slum area near Al Asif Square and at the time of accident, she was going to meet her relatives. In another indent, a man lost his life in road mishap at Super Highway in the precincts of Gaddap City police station. The victim was identified as Manzoor, 45, son of Hussain, a resident of Nagori Goth Gaddap.
Police said the deceased was knocked by speedy dumper when he was travelling on his bike at Super Highway. The body was shifted to nearest private hospital and then move to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for legal formalities. No case was registered till filing of this report.
