PARTLY FACETIOUS: She's there only because of one man

15 May, 2012

"So the prodigal hath returned."
"Who do you mean? Gilani is not the prodigal; merely a hanger-on. And don't forget while he was out of the country the jiyalas took out rallies in support of the President and the Prime Minister."
"Why in support of the President? He is not disqualified is he?"
"Well, if you want to get technical a president, the symbol of the federation, should not take party decisions..."
"Tarar..."
"See I knew you were going to throw Tarar in my face but the guy was a stooge and not a decision maker in the party."
"I see, so you reckon the jiyalas are covering all bases."
"Well, no, I reckon the jiyalas know where real power is and where decisions are taken and so they are simply following instructions with respect to Gilani, in short the focus is not Gilani if you know what I mean."
"I heard that the Speaker has held talks with Wasim Sajjad in terms of her own role subsequent to the court verdict?"
"Indeed she has and let's be honest she doesn't need to do this."
"I don't understand."
"She is there because of one man and if that man directs her to jump off a bridge so she must do."
"Right, she would do well to remember what happened to Dr Awan. He refused to jump off that bridge by the way and see where he is at?"
"Right, he is somewhere under the bridge with no hope of reaching the shore...but the Speaker could avenge what happened to her husband?"
"What has happened to him? He is very quiet and his son has been elected on a PPP ticket."
"Oh I see, so what in the world is she doing talking to Wasim Sajjad."
"Maybe she gave a dinner invitation to him."
"Don't be facetious."
