The cold weather intensified in Lahore on Monday as the metropolis received light rain and hailstorm in different parts of the city.
The downpour dropped the temperature following the rainfall in various localities, including Iqbal Town, Allama Iqbal Town, Faisal Town, Model Town, Jail Road, Canal Road and Gulberg. According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the city is likely to receive more rainfall for next 24 hours.
Residents of Lahore were overjoyed with the weather and took to social networking sites to share the news.

PMD has also predicted rain and snowfall in upper part of the country. “More rain-thunderstorm, with snowfall over the hills, is expected at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country,” MET department said.
