Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that Citizen Feedback Model is being enforced in selected districts and its scope will be expanded to all districts of the province. He said that citizen feedback model is a best source of getting public opinion regarding government institutions.
This model will play a key role for transparency, achieving targets of good governance and further improving the performance of the government departments, he added. He was presiding over a meeting to review the progress on citizen feedback model, here on Saturday. Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board, Dr Umer Saif, Secretary Information, Mohyuddin Wani, Zubair Bhatti of World Bank, senior officers and experts were present on the occasion.
Special Secretary, Barrister Nabeel Awan gave a briefing regarding aim and objectives and features of citizen feedback model. The CM said that special attention has been paid to the promotion of good governance and provision of best services to the people in the province. He said that citizen feedback model is unique with respect to its importance and it will be implemented in a co-ordinated manner so that its fruits could reach the masses.
He said that the purpose of enforcement of this model is to improve the performance of the government departments by getting feedback from the citizens visiting government offices for resolution of their problems. He said that public feedback is of great importance for the improvement of the performance of the government departments and in this way, the confidence of the common man is restored in the government departments.
