Media urged to present real situation of Karachi

Sindh Minister for Information Technology Raza Haroon has urged the media to highlight the actual situation in Karachi and help in bringing about the needed revolution. Addressing the launching ceremony of a daily Urdu newspaper, he said media is one of the strongest stakeholders that must play its due role in the right earnest so as to rectify the deep rooted malaise in the society.
The IT minister said country needed leadership from the middle class as during past 64 years the rulers club comprising feudals, ensuring their presence on basis of dynastic politics, had caused severe damage to all institutions of the state.
With specific reference to Karachi, he said if an across the board action was not taken against the land mafia, gangsters and unscrupulous elements there could be no writ of law and citizens would continue to be the ultimate sufferers. "The system in the country must be changed as this has turned to be the protectors of those who are against agriculture tax," said Raza Haroon.
