Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital (SKMCH) is the best place for new fellowship training programme, Professor Khalid Masood Gondal, Director General International Relations, College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP), said. He said this during his visit to Shaukat Khanum Hospital on Thursday.
Professor Khalid Gondal, while exchanging views with fellows and under training doctors, said that Shaukat Khamum Cancer Hospital is providing the best training to the trainees of CPSP especially, playing an appreciable role in new fellowship programme. He said the process of provision of specialists for dengue fever and infectious diseases has been started from SKMCH. Likewise, the fellowship in Surgical Oncology has also been started under supervision of Dr Amer Ali Syed which will help provide specialists for Oncological surgery, he added.
Professor Khalid Masood Gondal said that CPSP will provide specialists in all disciplines at district level. He further said that after the completion of Quetta, Hyderabad and Abbottabad centres, college will start extension projects at Islamabad and Peshawar centres also, so that, the services of doctors may be provided to the people in the medical profession.
