Non-compliance of orders: LHC takes notice

01 Jun, 2012

The Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Thursday directed the ministry of foreign affairs to write a letter to Dhaka government to trace out a minor girl allegedly kidnapped from Lahore by her Bengalee father. The court taking notice of non-compliance of the court orders by the foreign ministry, observed if the responsible could not run the affairs of the ministry, then they should opt to go home.
The court remarked this while holding proceedings in a petition filed by one Kausar Sadiq seeking recovery of her four-year-old daughter from her Bengalee husband. The petitioner submitted that she married Aminul Haq in 2006 and gave birth to a girl. She said, in 2011 Aminul took her four-year-old daughter Shabnam to Dhaka saying that he would bring her back after her meeting with his parents. She said since then Aminul was totally out of touch with her. She wrote letters to Supreme Court of Pakistan and of Bangladesh and Inspector General of Police Dhaka for recovery of her daughter, but all was in vain. She, therefore, prayed to the court to get her daughter recovered from her husband.
