The federal government has budgeted Rs 7.8 billion for health affairs and services in budget 2012-13 that is 196.5 percent higher than the revised budgetary estimates for 2011-12. Federal Budget 2012-13 denoted that allocations for health affairs and services were Rs 1.2 billion more than the current fiscal year's revised budgeted estimates of Rs 6.6 billion and Rs 5.2 billion more than the actual budgetary estimates for the current fiscal year.
The government budgeted Rs 132 million for medical products, appliances and equipment or Rs 32 million more than the revised budgetary estimates of 2011-12. For hospital services, Rs 6.6 billion have been budgeted that is Rs 900 million more than the estimated budgetary amount of Rs 5.7 billion made for the current fiscal year.
