Rs 12.76 billion allocated for Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The government has proposed to allocate a total of Rs 12.76 billion for Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the federal budget 2012-2013 against outgoing fiscal year's revised estimate of Rs 12.14 billion. The break-up of the budgetary allocations include: Rs 901.218 million for Foreign Affairs Division, Rs 9.736 billion for Foreign Affairs and Rs 2.122 billion for other expenditures of the Foreign Affairs Division.
For the Foreign Affairs Division, besides others the proposed demands, Rs 511.5 million for employed related expense include: Rs 236.635 million for pay, Rs 115.2 million for pay of officers, Rs 121.4 million for pay of other staff, Rs 274.86 million for allowances, Rs 253.4 million for regular allowances, Rs 21.4 million for other allowances and Rs 1 million for grants subsidies and write off loans. For Foreign Affairs, the budgetary allocations include: among others Rs 4.9 billion for employees related expenses, Rs 1.26 billion for pay, Rs 227.0 million for pay of officers, Rs 1.03 billion for pay of other staff, Rs 3.6 billion for allowances, Rs 3 billion for regular allowances and Rs 4.4 billion for operating expenses.
For other expenditures of Foreign Affairs Division, among others Rs 1 million has been proposed to allocate for project pre-investment analysis while Rs 2 billion for operating expenses. Similarly Rs 44 million has been proposed to allocate for grants subsidy and write off loans while Rs 55 million has been proposed for transfers.
