Former Chairman, Pakistan Chemicals and Dyes Merchant Association (PCDMA), Haroon Agar has urged the government to include representatives of commercial imports in the committee to take up issue of withdrawal of mandatory condition of CNIC/ NTN for all purchases made by any unregistered person. He welcomed the govern decision to withdrawal SRO 191 and demanded early issuance of notification.
He said that mandatory condition of CNIC/ NTN for all purchases made by any unregistered person is creates immense hurdles in doing business smoothly and business and industrial community cannot comply with it. He expressed the opinion that when the government formulate polices it should be uniform for every sector. He said that the opinion the condition is not expectable to them in any circumstances. He also demanded withdrawal of condition imposed in budget 2012-13 under section 58/E. He said commercial imports are exempted from audit after paying 3 percent value added tax and withdrawal of this section will allow them to avail this facility.
