World Bank Mission satisfied with BoR land record computerisation

World Bank Mission visited different service centres established in Lahore under Project Management Unit LRMIS and expressed their satisfaction over land record computerisation process of the Board of Revenue (BoR), Punjab. WB Mission during their visit to centres also sought different suggestions for computer services from visitors.
The land owners told the WB Mission that they were benefiting better services relating to land record from these services centres and saving their money and time for getting land documents (Ferd). On this occasion, the Project Director and Director Operations informed the WB Mission about the pace of computerisation of land record.
They further said that this project had entered final phase under which land record of all districts was being entered into computers. They said that computerised services centres had started operation in 10 tehsils of the province while 6 more service centres would become operational by September 2012.
