Tributes paid to Dr Panhwar

Noted writers and intellectuals while paying rich tribute to Late Dr Khan Muhammad Panhwar, founder of the department of Mass Communication in the University of Sindh, have urged the establishment of Dr Khan Muhammad Panhwar Research Chair in the University and Memorial Corner at the Institute of Sindhology.
They were speaking at a function held in memory of Dr Khan Muhammad Panhwar organised by Bazme Rooh Rehan at Hyderabad on Sunday. The occasion was presided over by Prof Qalander Lakyari while Dr Kazi Khadim Hussain was the chief guest.
Prof Qalander Shah highlighted services of Dr Panhwar and said that he was an institution and a dynamic person who devoted his life for the cause of rural life.
Gul Muhammad Umrani said that Dr Panhwar was best manager, thinker and also a politician. He said that Dr Panhwar always played a leading role in Sindh Graduates Association and also in rural development. He urged upon the Sindh University authority to set up research chair in the name of Dr Panhwar in the University and initiate research projects and memorial corner at the Institute of Sindhology.
Hameed Sindhi Patron in Chief of Bazme- Rooh Rehan said that Dr Panhwar was an active man who struggled a lot to boost up Sindhi literature. He said that Dr Panhwar had continuously worked to bring positive change in Sindhi society towards education, specially girls education.
Muhammad Zakria Rahpoto, Rasool Bux Bughio, Majeed Panhwar, Saleem Channa, Nasir Panhwar, Shah Nawaz Musafar, Ghulam Nabi Kaka and others also lauded the services of Dr Panhwar.
