The Lahore High Court on Monday sought a reply from secretary health Punjab and chief executive Services Hospital Lahore within two weeks on a petition seeking directions for an inquiry committee headed by a former judge to probe into fire incident at the hospital. Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan passed the order on a petition filed by petitioner-counsel Noshab A khan.
Earlier, the petitioner appearing before the court submitted that it was third major fire incident at the Services Hospital in two years. He said that the fire caused by a short circuit claimed lives of seven infants and left many injured. He pleaded the court that directions be issued for constitution of an inquiry committee to probe into fire incident at Services Hospital and strict action be taken against responsible in the light of committee report.
