Chief Minister of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti on Thursday formally approved the establishment of a university named after Khushal Khan Khattak in Karak. The chief minister directed the authorities to run the university from the gas royalty of Karak district.
Finalising a piece of land adjacent to the district jail near the district headquarters complex in Karak for the proposed university, he also approved the handing over of the additional charge of the proposed university's project director to the Vice-Chancellor of Kohat University.
Also on Thursday, a delegation of provincial assembly lawmakers on him at the Chief Minister's Secretariat. The Chief Minister said that the provincial government's development projects were bearing encouraging results. Matters relating to development schemes and problems faced by lawmakers in various constituencies were also discussed during the meeting.
