Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ICCI) welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court and said that this step could bring about a new change for the betterment of the business community across the country.
Asad Fareed, Acting President ICCI, while talking exclusively with the Business Recorder said: "We are not supportive of any political party specifically nor are we against any. How a government formulates policies and makes decision for the development of the industrial sector is our main concern.
What has this present government given to the business community during its tenure? Power crisis has increased the cost of production and the business community has to face immense loss due to day by day increasing tariff of electricity and load shedding. The industrial sector is the back bone of this country and it is passing through the worst ever phase of the country's history."
Asad Fareed said: "We are hoping that the dismissal of the Prime Minister will bring about a new positive change for the business community." Chairman Media and Public Relations of The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Malik Sohail said that the decision taken by the Apex Court shows that the judicial system of the country is free of any sort of corruption. During the present government's tenure, the poor masses have suffered a lot economically, especially the business community which has had to pay a heavy price for the policies of the Gilani government regarding the industrial sector.
