Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) on Wednesday arrested around three dozens suspects including close aide of notorious gangster Taj Muhammad alias Taju during targeted operations in different areas of the metropolis. According to SP Noman Siddiqui, the first targeted operation was carried out in Lassi Goth, New Karachi where the law enforcers nabbed three suspects namely Ramzan, Shehzad and Nazim with weapons.
He said the raid was conducted on a tip-off that led to arrest of the suspects, who were professional robbers and were involved in the killings of their two accomplices namely Ismail and Ameer on June 18. Similarly, paramilitary rangers also conducted targeted operations in different parts of Lyari and arrested four alleged mobsters with weapons.
Similarly, East Range Police also claimed to have detained 26 felons during separate raids in different areas of the city. According to Rangers sources, the law enforcers have detained four suspects including Furqan alias Yamaha, a close aide Taj Mohammad alias Taju during a targeted operation. They said the detained persons were allegedly involved in several heinous crimes including murders, attempt to murder, kidnapping for ransom, extortion and drug peddling. They said the accused, who was recently released from the jail has again been taken into custody and the law enforcers have also recovered hand grenades and other lethal weapons from him.
