Sindh Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested six notorious felons including three alleged target killers and three extortionists in separate raids at various parts of the metropolis. According to SP Malir Zahid Hussain, the police on a tipoff conducted raid at Qauidabad area and detained an alleged target killer namely Jahanzaib alias Aka Fauji with weapons.
He said the accused person, who was the worker of Shah Faisal unit-105 of Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM-H), was allegedly involved in 19 murders of different political and religious parties' workers at Shah Faisal Colony, Orangi Town, Mehmoodabad, Sherpao Colony and Khokhrapar areas. Further investigation was underway. Similarly, Crime Branch-I police have arrested a notorious Lyari gangster from Lea market with weapon. Police said the accused belonged to Taj Mohammad alias Taju group and was arrested on the information of Irfan Yamaha, who was arrested two days ago.
East Investigation Range and Gulistan Jauhar Police in a joint action claimed to have nabbed an alleged target killer Shuja Hashmi from Jauhar Moor Gulistan Jauhar and recovered a Kalashnikov and TT pistol from him. Police said that accused person, who was said to be involved in over 80 cases of targeted killings and was arrested few years ago, released from jail on bail recently. Three alleged extortionists were detained by Pirabad Police during general round-up at Qasba Colony with weapons. The detained persons were identified as Kashif, Amjad Hussain and Mohammad Alam.
