Pakistani books' exhibition at Dushanbe

A week-long book exhibition of Pakistani books was held at the Library of Academy of Sciences, Dushanbe, on Friday on the occasion of 19th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Tajikistan. The exhibition was organised jointly by Pakistan-Tajikistan Friendship Society, Pakistan Study Centre at Tajik National University and the Embassy of Pakistan in Dushanbe.
The exhibition was jointly inaugurated by Chairman of the Friendship Society Karamatulloh Olimov and Ambassador of Pakistan Amjad Hussain B. Sial. The ceremony was attended by academicians, professors, scholars, poets, students and many other people from all walks of life.
Books on literature, culture, history, people and the landscape of Pakistan along with posters and brochures were displayed in the exhibition. The visitors showed keen interest in the poetry of Dr Allama Iqbal and Faiz Ahmed Faiz. On the proposal of the Ambassador, the Friendship Society and Library of Academy of Sciences agreed to make the book exhibition an annual event.
