Provincial President, ANP, Khyber Pakhtunhwa, Senator Afrasiab Khan Khattak has said that the party will fully participate in local bodies and next general elections and on the basis of its performance will return with big majority. He was addressing a general council meeting of ANP district Peshawar, which met here with Arbab Najibullah Khan in the chair.
Provincial General Secretary, Arbab Mohammad Tahir Khan Khalil, Provincial Secretary Information, Malik Ghulam Mustafa, Vice President, Mian Mushtaq, Central Additional Secretary General Tajuddin Khan, Provincial Ministers Arbab Ayub Jan, Syed Aqil Shah, MPAs Alamgir Khan Khalil, Ateef-ur-Rehman, District General Secretary, Malik Nasim, district and provincial constituencies' office bearers were also present on the occasion.
The meeting discussed organisational matters and presented proposals regarding the coming local bodies and general elections and pledged further activation and strengthening of the party organisation. The meeting expressed concern and reservations on unjustified power load shedding in the province and attitude of police also came under fire in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Provincial President ANP, Senator Afrasiab said that on one hand energy crisis and terrorism have made the lives of the people miserable, but on the other hand some elements are making conspiracies against democracy while some are out to create problems for democracy, but they will never succeed in their nefarious designs.
In the present circumstances, the country is not in position to afford political confrontation. Regarding Afghanistan, he said that after the withdrawal of Nato forces, situation life the withdrawal of Russian forces should not be repeated otherwise, he said both Pakistan and Iran will be affected.
He said that solution of Afghan issue should be left on Afghans as the people of that country are politically mature and can take better decision regarding the future of their country. He said that Pakistan has to take important decisions regarding foreign policy as without this Afghanistan peace is not possible in Pakistan. Talking about Peshawar package of the Chief Minister, he said that politics did not require any package and if such was the case then all former governments would still remained in power. But they were defeated due to their wrong politics.
