Photo-journalists of Multan, Muzaffargarh, Dera Ghazi Khan, Khanewal and Dera Ismail Khan on Saturday staged a demonstration to condemn the high handedness of the young doctors in Rahim Yar Khan who manhandled and maltreated the Press photographers and electronic media men and thrashed them on the road.
In Multan the demo was led by Zafar-ul-Islam, Ijaz Ahmed Sheikh, Aqueel Chaudhry. They demanded for banning the strike and protest in the health sector describing it harmful to the humanity. They said that striking doctors be removed from the jobs because they were violating the rules and regulations of the essential services act.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Patriot Forum also on Saturday staged a demonstration against the young doctors who are on strike for the last 13 days and responsible for the death of innocent patients. The demo led by PPF Provincial Chief Hamza Shahid Lodhi was joined by the relatives of the patients. They shouted slogans against the doctors calling them," death-traders".
Addressing the demo Hamza Shahid Lodhi said that Punjab government should not bow down before the young doctors who were playing with the lives of the innocent people. He said that thousands of jobless doctors were ready to serve as volunteers so the government should patronise them. They demanded for taking strict action against them.
