'People no longer interested in politics of allegations'

Deputy Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Q senior leader Chaudhry Pervez Elahi on Saturday said main objective of joining the present government by Muslim League is to get the people's problems solved on priority basis in shortest possible time. He said this while talking to elected representatives, former Nazims, industrialists, businessmen, party leaders and workers, APCA and people hailing from other walks of life who visited Gulberg residence of Elahi on Saturday.
They felicitated Elahi on assuming the office of the Deputy Prime Minister. Elahi said that he is in constant contact with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Raja Parvez Ashraf in a bid to overcome energy and gas crisis and resolving the people's problems and difficulties. He asked the so-called "Khadim-e-A'ala" of Punjab not to do politics on problems of the people. He said that people of the province are fed up with politics of hollow slogans and false allegations.
A 15-member delegation of All Pakistan Clerks' Association (APCA) Punjab also called on the Deputy Prime Minister and apprised him about their demands. On this occasion Federal Minister Sardar Bahadur Khan Sahar, MNA Dewan Ashiq Bokhari, former Speaker of National Assembly Chaudhry Ameer Hussain, former Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Muhammad Afzal Sahi, Chaudhry Tahir Iqbal MPA, former MNA Muhammad Liaquat, Chaudhry Abdullah Yousuf MPA and others were also present.
