For vigorously pursuing the court cases, Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to revamp its legal wing by engaging well-reputed law firms, advocates and lawyers, having extensive experience in working with government set up besides recruiting an officer on market based salary for heading the LDA Law Directorate.
According to a LDA's spokesperson here on Saturday, LDA has sought legal services in the areas of acquisition of land and litigations on land matters, legal issues pertaining to housing societies, town and metropolitan planning, commercialisation and civil works, service matters, contract management, labour laws and other miscellaneous legal issues.
Meanwhile, LDA Director General Ahad Khan Cheema has directed transfer of two officers Afzal Bhatti, Deputy Director (research and evaluation) presently working in Directorate of Land Development-I, LDA, has been transferred and posted in Directorate of Land Development-II, LDA. Ali Bin Sohail, Assistant Director (General Cadre) presently working in Directorate of Land Development-II, LDA, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Director in Directorate of Land Development-I, LDA in his own pay and scale.
