LHC takes decisions on dispensation of justice

A Full Court meeting of the Lahore High Court was held here on Saturday which took different decisions to seep up process of dispensation of justice. The meeting headed by Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial decided to bring number of cases in the cause list at a reasonable level so that every fixed case on a particular day could be taken up and not to be adjourned as left over.
Result-oriented measures would be initiated in the district judiciary to restrain the flood of applications u/s 22-A, 22-B of CrPC in the High Court, the press release said, issued by LHC registrar. It was also decided to maintain complete consistency regarding interim orders in view of settled principles of law and inspection of district courts would be carried out regularly.
Further steps shall be taken up for capacity building of the judges of District Judiciary. Percentage of complaints received in High Court is much higher against staff of district courts than the Judges. Powers delegated to Registrar under the law be implemented so that judicial files after completion would be presented before the judges, the press release added.
