The Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Professor Dr Nazir A.Mughal while approving upgradation of non technical posts of employees and leave encashment for teachers, officers and employees has announced here on Tuesday that the employees would get 300 acres land very soon for their residential plots in awaiting 3rd phase.
He was addressing teachers, officers and employees at a Senate Hall to brief them along with Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro Agha Sohail Pathan regarding progress in approval of 300 acres land for the employees of the University. vice chancellors, deans of the faculties, teachers, officers and large number of employees were present on the occasion. Sindh University VC said that out of 35 he has already approved 31 demands of the employees and amongst remaining 4 he has approved the upgradation of posts of non technical staff on Monday and also approved leave encashment to the teachers, officers and employees on Tuesday.
Responding demand of employees for jobs to the retired employees, Dr Mughal said that the university has already adopted policy to employee sons of the diseased employees and added that for the employment of sons/daughters of retired employees the mater will be examined in light of financial matters and also in first phase some percentage would be fixed for employment of the retired employee's sons and daughters and slowly and gradually it will be increased in next years. He ordered the administration to prepare a report regarding facts and figures towards employment of sons and daughters of the retired employees including teachers and officers.
The Vice Chancellor while showing maps and approval of the Governor Sindh for 300 acres land for employees said that the government has approved the allotment of 300 acres land for the residential plots to the teachers and employees and added that Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro has sent the summary in light of the directives to the Revenue department for the approval from Chief Minister Sindh.
He said that employees will get 300 acres land for their residential plots very soon and the University has already allocated Rs 3 crore for the purchase of land. The Vice Chancellor said that he is parent of the employees and teacher of employees' children, added that he is always positive to resolve the problems of the employees and it is right of the employees to get their rights on priority basis.
He advised the employees to must verify any news they receive before to believe on it. He announced that scholarships to the children of the employees for higher education will also be awarded. Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro Agha Sohail Pathan said that 300 acres land for the residential plots to the University teachers, officers and employees have been allocated in Deh Sonwilhar and summary is already moved to the Revenue department for approval from the Chief Minister. He said that the shelter is right of the employees but they must think about their duties and be practical to perform their duties.
