Akhtar Hussain Gorchani, currently serving as Additional Inspector-General (AIG), is likely to be elevated to Inspector-General Sindh some time this month, sources said on Tuesday. According to sources, the government is considering promoting the AIG to following the retirement of the incumbent IG Sindh, Mushtaq Shah, in July.
They said that a notification in this regard would be issued shortly, adding that names of Iqbal Mehmood and AIG of CID Ghulam Shabir might be appointed as AIG, Sindh.
