Tribal Electricity Supply Company (Tesco) Chief Executive Pervez Khankhel Swati has said that an amount of Rs 826 million arrears outstanding against the different government departments in Federally Administrative Tribal Areas from the month of May, 2012.
He was addressing at a meeting here at Wapda House Peshawar on Tuesday, while all SEs, XENs and SDOs Operations of the company were present on the occasion. Expressing grave concern over shortcoming regarding recovery at every division level, he asked the company officials to improve the recovery, and said the officials' performance would be ascertained by brining improvement in recovery with coming days.
He announced that a special award would be honoured to those officials who would play role in achievement of recovery target at every division level, and asked the superintending engineers and XEN Operation to play their due role for brining improvement in existing recovery ratio in Fata. He viewed that the outstanding recovery against the industrial, irrigation and commercial consumers would also improve financial position of the company.
On the occasion, the Tesco CEO reviewed individual performance of each division and sub-division under the Tesco and issued directives to overcome the shortcomings in the matters pertaining to recovery. He said that billing procedure for industrial consumers needed to be streamlined and should be brought it at par with the billing standards. He stressed the need for maximum efforts to improve financial health of the company, saying it could not be possible without support and co-operation of employees and officials.
