14 faint as mercury rises to 49°C in Balochistan

At least 14 people fainted in different areas of the province due to scorching heat wave. Reports reaching here on Wednesday said that 10 people fainted in Dera Murad Jamali and four in Sibi after the Mercury rose to 49°C on Tuesday. The 20-hour prolonged power outages on daily basis have also increased the woes of people.
Hospital sources said that hundreds of patients suffering from sunstrokes and heat wave had been brought to hospitals particularly in Eastern Balochistan. The Met Office sources said that heat wave would continue prevailing for next few days however monsoon rains would drop mercury, changing weather pleasant in coming days.
