Five persons lose lives in Karachi

Five more lives were lost in incidents of violence on Wednesday. According to police and rescue sources, a body was found with strangulation marks from a warehouse in Sher Mohammad Brohi Goth in Surjani police remits. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) where the deceased was identified as Shareef, 52, son of Abdul Majeed.
Police said family members had strangulated the man to death. They said that the deceased used to run a scrap business in the Surjani Town area where his body was found. Similarly, another scrap dealer Mohammad Sarwar, 52, son of Ghulam Hussain, was gunned down near his residence in the Lines Area in the limits of Brigade police station. Police said that the deceased was targeted when he was on his way home. The body was moved to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for autopsy.
Police officials said the motive behind his murder was yet to be ascertained, adding that the deceased had no affiliation with any political or religious group. A 45-year-old man named Sohail, son of Aqeel, was shot dead in Korangi. Police said that the victim lost his life when he tried to resist a robbery attempt on his mobile shop also located in the Korangi area. The body was moved to the JPMC for completion of legal formalities.
A 17-year-old boy Bakht Khan, son of Saleem Sher Khan, was killed in the SITE area. Police said the victim was killed when he accidentally fired a shot while playing with the gun of his father, who is a security guard. No case was registered till the filing of this report.
A young man namely Saleem, 36, son of Abdullah was killed while his brother Hanif sustained injuries inside their residence located in Hungorabad in Kalri police remits. Police said that Saleem's brother-in-law named Abdul Razzak stabbed them over a domestic dispute, claiming the Saleem's life and wounding his brother Hanif. Later, police claimed arresting Razzak and recovering the murder weapon from his possession.
